    There you will see fillable options like title, description, content, thumbnail, category, tags and a save button.


  3. 3) Fill in the title of your blog post in the title box. The title of your blog post is very important for it is what
    your readers will first see before they determine whether to continue reading your blog post.
    This tittle must be captivating and compelling enough in order to attract readers to your blog post.


  4. 4) Fill in the description of your blog post in the description box. This description should carry most of your keywords or
    phrases which will help search engines to easily index your post on search.


  5. 5) Fill in the body of your blog in the content box. The body of your blog post should not be shallow, rather
    should contain all the details of your what you are writing about with appropriate addition of other media content
    like photos, videos and audios wherever necessary to back your facts. For example; to add a video or audio to any part of your post,
    click on the add media content button, and on the pop-up window, select embed. Copy the embed code of the video or audio you want
    to add from eg; youtube, cmtvplus, mardplay or any other site and paste in the embed

    help in easy search of your blog post.

Creating products is the best way to sell on ConnectYu, creating a post for your product is inefficient
because ConnectYu posts display in a top-down system ;this means recent posts appear at the top and push
older posts downs down, this means you have to create multiple posts for your product to stay up-top. Note:
not everyone on ConnectYu will be able to see your posts because of their privacy settings but when you create a
product it's automatically available amongst the product in the ConnectYu market and visible to everyone. ConnectYu promotes
products on other platforms which is an added advantage.

Follow these steps to create a product on ConnectYu.




  1. 1) Click on the circle on the top right-hand Conner of your screen containing your profile picture this will
    open a drop-down menu. This will open a dropdown menu with a list of options.



  2. 2) From the drop-down menu and select my shop and this will take you to my-product page
    where you will see options like My Shop, Market, and the create button.



  3. 3) Click on the create button, this action will pop a new page captioned; sell new products,
    on this page you will see the different slots to fill in the details of your product.



  4. 4) In the name box fill in the name of your product, the name box is the first option
    on this page and here you are required fill in the name of your product for example; table,
    HP Laptop, TV sets just to name a few.



  5. 5)Fill the price in the prize box, Note: if you want to process payment using the ConnectYu
    wallet you are advised to set your prize in US Dollars, to get your prize in Dollars, take the prize of your product
    and divide by the price of one US Dollar, for example, 15000 XAF divided by 601.36 which is the price of one US Dollar at the time of this video,
    which equals $24.94, but if you don’t want to accept payment using the ConnectYu wallet you can set the price in your currency.



  6. 6) Describe your product in the description box, if your price is in US Dollar it’s good to mention the equivalent
    prize in your local currency and other additional information like the location of your shop or product.

    your file manager or gallery (this option varies from device to device), locate the image file and click ok or open depending on
    your device. Note: after you click the ok button the image will appear beside the image button under photos.

    repeat step 1 and 2 to get to your products page, click on that product, this will take to another
    page where you will see the details of that product, above the product to the left is a dropdown menu icon, click on it and it will open a dropdown menu with the first option mark product as sold, choose this option, and this
    product will automatically be removed from your shop and where ever there is a post of this product it will be marked as sold.

Here is the procedure to create a video:




  1. 1) Click on the box containing your profile picture and the text "what’s going on?".
    This action will pop an upload window with multiple options.


  2. 2) Click on the green camera icon, this action will open your file manager,
    this may look different on other devices but the goal here is to help you locate the
    video file. Navigate to your video file and click on open, select,
    or ok depending on your device. This action will load the video to the upload page.


  3. 3) Verify if the video file is the one you intended to upload otherwise perform step two again.


  4. 4) You can change the privacy settings of this post by selecting who you want to see your post. Select from the following;

    a. Only me: This means no one except you will be able to see your this post.

    b. Everyone: This means everyone on ConnectYu will see your post.

    c. People I follow: This means only people I follow will be able to see my post.

    e. People following me: This means only the people who are following me will be able to see my post.



  5. 5) Click on the custom thumbnail to choose and upload a customized thumbnail for your video from
    your device, a thumbnail is an image that vividly describes your video, for example, the thumbnail for a movie could be the poster of that movie.
    If you don’t have a thumbnail you can skip this step.


  6. 6) In the top section of the upload page, write a compelling description of your video or
    include your major hashtag or mention someone who is in the video.
    Note that when you mention anyone, they will receive a notification, which is a good way of letting them know about your post


  7. 7) Finally, click on the share button and wait for the video to upload and be published.

Pages represent businesses, companies, organizations, brands, industries, ideas,
public personnel, places, just to name a few. Creating a page can best represent your business or
whatever you intend to create a page for. Here are the steps to create a page on ConnectYu.



  • 1) Click on the "create" bottom on the top left-hand corner of your screen, this will open a dropdown menu.


  • 2) Navigate to the bottom of the list and select the create page option, this will take you to a new page.


  • 3) On this page, you are required to fill in your business information correctly as follows;


  • 4) Fill in your page Name; that is the name of your business, organization, brand, etc.


  • 5) In the page U.R.L. or Uniform Resource Locator, fill in the link of your page.
    Make sure your link is void of spaces, for example, “myfashiondesign”. A U.R.L. is a unique
    link that anyone can click on or follow to arrive at your page, this will save them the stress of searching for your page.


  • 6) Select a category that best describes your page from the list of categories.


  • 7) In the description box, fill in your description. This is a detailed description of your business, organization, brand, etc.


  • 8) Click the Create button to create your page. You are not done yet for there are some key things you need to do.


  • 9) On the page click on the "Edit" button to further customize your page


  • 10) Select a subcategory of your page if necessary. Select your page "call to action"
    from the drop-down list and add the corresponding U.R.L. to this call to action. A call to action is what you need
    people to do when they come to your page. For example; if the page is about my online shop or store, I will select "Shop now"
    from the dropdown link and copy the U.R.L. to my shop and paste in the required box. Anyone who visits my page and click on the
    "Shop now' call to action button, it will redirect them to the page of the U.R.L. I pasted which is my shop on connectYu.
    Click on save and proceed to the next page by clicking on the flag icon on the top of the page.


  • 11) On this page, fill in your Company or page name, phone number, location, and website.
    The location will help direct people easily to your business by the use of Google maps if you have enabled location visibility on
    your settings and device settings. Click on the save button and proceed to the next page by clicking on the "f" icon above.


  • 12) On this page, fill in all the social links to your business or page by copying and pasting the
    right username of that social media page on the corresponding box. Note: To get the user name of any of your social
    media page, open the corresponding social media page on a browser, for example, for a Facebook page, or a youtube page,
    or an Instagram page respectively and copy the last section of the U.R.L. after the www.facebook.com/ or www.youtube.com/, or www.instagram.com/,
    etc and paste it in the corresponding box. Save and move to the next page by clicking on the picture icon on the top section of the screen.


  • 13) On this page, add the cover art of your page by clicking here and select the
    appropriate cover photo that best describes your page or business. Click here to select and upload your business or page Avatar.
    This might be the business or organization logo, or any photo that best represents
    your business or page. Click on save and proceed to the next page by clicking on this icon on the top section of your screen.


  • 14) On this page, you can add different admins to your page and edit their privileges as you like. Page admins are other persons in your
    organization or business who can manage certain activities on your page.
    Click on save and proceed to the next two pages by clicking on these two icons on the top section of your screen respectively.


  • 15) This is where you can check and view the statistics on your page and lastly, this where you can delete your page.
    Note that after deleting your page, you cannot recover any information from the page.

    ConnectYu search feature is a strategy implemented into the design to help
    the users find relevant content. Users can find content by specifying keywords or phrases without navigating through the entire website
    structure. Follow this procedure to access the search feature on ConnectYu.




    1. 1) Click the circle top-right hand Conner of your screen containing your profile picture, this will open a dropdown menu.


    2. 2) From the dropdown menu choose the search option, click on the search option and this will take you to the search page.


    3. 3) Click the search box with the placeholder keyword, fill in your query which could be another user’s name, hashtag, the name of page or group. You can filter your search by country, age status, gender, profile picture, you can filter your search to target either verified, none verified users or all.
      Verified users are those whom ConnectYu has verified their profile, theses users all have a verification batch.

    4. 4) click the Search option to search, the
      result for your query is filtered by users, pages, groups and games, this is to help you sort through the result.

    3. 3) On this web page, you will see the various fields where you are required fill in your data, in the name box fill in the name of your group.
      The name is very important because search engines will easily access your group through the name.


    4. 4)In the group URL or Uniform Resource Locator, fill in the link of your group.

      group option, this means your group will be visible to everyone but if your
      group type is private the group will not be visible to everyone and will not be found on any user’s suggested group option.

      Remember your category needs to reflect the business or idea in question and it equally helps search engines to index your group.

      In case any of these options are not correct you can edit them and click the save button to save changes.

      see the type drop-down menu where you can either choose to make your group private or public. Remember

      other users suggested group option, this means your group will be visible to everyone but if you group type is private the group will not be visible to everyone and will not be found on any user’s suggested group option. A good example of a private group is a group for professional photographers or fashion designers.
      This is where the confirm request option becomes very important. When you choose yes anyone
      who click your group’s join button you or an admin will have to confirm their membership request before
      they can become members of your group otherwise, they become members after clicking the join button.



    11. 11) Click on the avatar and cover option on the blue slide bar, add the cover art of your group by clicking here
      and select the appropriate cover photo that best describes your group or business. Click here to select and upload
      your business or group Avatar. This might be the business or
      organization logo, or any photo that best represents your business or group. Click on save, to persist changes.

      either joined you group directly by clicking the join or are those you approved their membership request.

    Connectyu has two themes which are labeled day mode and nigh mode. The day mode has
    white display with contrasting text colors and the night mode has a dark display with
    a variety of contrasting text colors. Depending on your taste you may choose either or both of these themes on
    Connectyu. Follow the steps below to switch your theme on Connectyu.




    1. 1) Click on the circle top-right of screen containing your profile picture, this will open a dropdown menu.


    2. 2) On the dropdown menu, scroll down to the last item on the list, which could either be the day mode or night mode
      depending on your current theme, click and automatically your theme will switch from day mode to night mode or vice-versa.

    ConnectYu provides with the luxury of beginning a live chat or follow any user without visiting his or her profile, however, this feature is not available in the web mobile view of ConnectYu.
    No matter the page you are currently browsing on ConnectYu you can quickly follow or message anyone even as you continue browsing; place your mouse cursor on the name of the user, it doesn’t matter if it’s in the comments or on a post. When you place your mouse cursor over the name of the user, a popup will open containing the profile picture of the user, the name of the user, the follow and message buttons, the gender and the location of the user.
    Click on the follow button to follow or on the message button to open a live chat.

    Your profile is the digital representation of you, however, you may at times visit your profile either to create, delete or upgrade your personal information or to customize your settings and more.
    To view your profile on ConnectYu visit the top right-hand section of your screen and click on the circle containing your profile picture. This will open a drop-down menu, choose the first option of the list which is your name. This will take you to your profile page.
    On your profile navigation bar below your profile pictures, you will see a slide bar with
    options which you can click to see the related information.

    When you click the timeline option you will be shown a complete catalogue of all your posts of any type like videos,
    audios, text just to name but these. These posts are staged in the order they were posted.


    When you Click the group option a slide down page will open with a list of both the groups you created and the ones you joined. The groups you
    joined have a join button to exit the group if you want but your personal groups haven’t the join button.


    When you click the like option a slide down page will pop open showing a list of both the pages you created or liked,
    the ones you created haven’t the liked button but the ones you liked have the liked button which you can click to unlike.

    The following option in a slide down page will show a list of those you are following
    each with a profile picture, a username and the following button which you can click to unfollow.



    Click the Followers option and slide down page will open showing a list of those who are following you
    each with a profile picture, a username and a follow button. You can click the follow button to follow any user who follows you.



    When You click the Photos option a slide down
    page will pop open displaying a list of all your pictures in the order they were posted, you can click on any to expand and it singly.

    when you click on any video you will be taken to another page where you can play the video.



    When you click on the Activities button you will get a full view of all your activities
    like comment, reaction or posts, all these activities are associated with a time stamp.



    On your profile immediately below your profile picture, you will see your username with your verification batch to the right of your username.



    When you click the edit button you will be taken directly to your general settings page on this page you
    will see a series of editable fields like, username, phone, E-mail, birthday, country, gender, verification,
    membership type (this option will change if you have activated a pro pact, there are five different categories of
    ConnectYu membership which are free member, star member, hot member, ultima member and VIP member ), lastly you have the wallet which displays
    the current balance amount in US Dollars. If you update any of these fields remember to click the save button to save changes.



    Scroll down and click the profile option, this will take you to your profile settings page. Here you will see fields like, first name,
    last name, about me, location, school, working at,
    website, relationship and the save button if you update any of these fields remember to click the save button to save changes.



    The next and important option is the security, scroll down and click on the security option, this will open a drop-down menu with three other
    options which are; privacy, password and manage session, let's explore in chronological order.

    a) Click on the privacy option, this will take you to privacy settings page,
    on this page you will see a series of privacy settings fields each with a drop-down menu and a series of options,
    click on each option to customize your privacy and if you update any of these fields remember to click the save button to persist your changes.



    b) Click on the password option and this will take you to the password settings page, the is the page you go to if you want
    to change your password. if in case you want to change your password, click on the current password box and fill in your current
    password then click on the new password and repeat password fields and fill in your new password. Very important, if the two-factor
    authentication is enabled, ConnectYu will send a verification email to your email to verify
    if you are the one before changing your password. if you update any of these fields remember to click the save button to save changes.



    c) Click on the manage sessions option, this will take you to your manage sessions page,
    here you will see a list of devices you have or are currently logged in on, ordered by latest each with a
    timestamp and an IP address. This is feature is very important because it enables you to monitor and spot suspicious
    activities in the case of a hack. You can click the x button beside any session to delete that session.



    Next, click on social links, this will take you to your social-links page, here you will be greeted with
    various options like Facebook, Twitter, Vkontakte, LinkedIn Instagram and youtube. A social link is a link to
    your profile on other social media platforms when any user clicks
    on this link they will be taken directly to your profile on these platforms.



    to add social links to your ConectYu profile considering Facebook as an example, in order to link your
    ConnectYu profile to Facebook, go to your Facebook profile page, then copy the remaining
    part of your URL after www.facebook.com and paste it where you have the Facebook option on connectyu.



    Example your URL maybe www.facebook.com/paggai/ you just need to copy/paggai/ and paste where
    you have the Facebook option same with the other social media platforms.



    Scroll down and click on the invitation links option this will take you to the invitations link page. An invitation link is a link that you can use to invite anyone to signup on ConnectYu. On this page you will see options like the number of Available links note that you only have 10 invitation links per day, you will see the number of generated links, the number of used links and a generate links button. When you click the generate button a
    unique link will automatically be generated for you and immediately you will see a copy button, click to copy and share to your friends.



    Next, scroll down and click on the design option this will open a slide down menu, click on Avatar and cover option, this will take you to your avatar setting page. Will see a square box where you can click to upload an avatar or background image, note when you click this option there will be a pop up where you have to locate the image in your file manager and click ok depending on your device to upload. Below the avatar is a circular box where
    you can click to upload your cover or profile picture. If you update any of these fields remember to click the save button to save changes.



    Scroll down and click on the blocked user option, this will take you to your blocked user page, where you get to
    see all users you have blocked from accessing your profile, each with an unblock button which you can click to unblock.



    Scroll down and click on the notification settings option, this will pop open the notifications settings page, here you will see a list of notification settings which you can click on the little box to the left to validate or not. Social media platforms send you a lot of notifications to keep you up to date, sometimes these notifications either spam your email box or become a headache. ConnectYu gives you the
    privilege to customize the notification you receive. If you update any of these fields remember to click the save button to save changes.



    Next, scroll down to Earnings and click, this
    will open a drop-down menu with a few options like my affiliate, current balance, my points, transactions.



    a) Click on my affiliates this will take you to your affiliates page where you can see your current balance in US Dollars, your affiliate link, remember that your affiliate link is unique to your profile and contains your username, below your affiliate, is a shortcut to other social media platforms which you can click on any to share your affiliate link and below these shortcuts you will see everyone who has used your affiliate link to sign up on ConnectYu. ConnectYu has a promotion or monetization program and during the period of this program,
    if anyone uses your affiliate link to signup on ConnectYu and is verified you are paid $0.48 per user.



    b) Scroll down and click on the current balance option, this will take you to the payments page.     To check you page statistics on ConnectYu, click on the circle top-right
    of your screen containing your profile picture, this will open a dropdown menu..


    From the dropdown menu choose the Pages option, this will take you to a page where you can see your page(s),
    scroll to the page in question and click on the edit button.


    After you click on the edit button you will be taken to another page where you will see the
    statistics option in an amber sidebar, click this option and automatically a slide will open
    containing your statistic based on UTC timezone in a chart.


    On the very top of your page, you can see the number of people who like your page.


    From the period dropdown menu, you can filter your page statistics for that particular day, past week, month and year. Equally, you can click on the like
