Mardplay music streaming Store. Really?
The way we consume music has changed a lot in the last few years, as more and more Cameroonians transition to MP3 downloads instead of buying hard copys. With an Objective to empower society through Tech, CMEDIA has put to birth a new baby called Mardplay, a premium service for music streaming, sharing and sales, which got me rattled and I cant help but think: Many Music apps have come and gone, why should this particular one be any different?

What is Mardplay?

Mardplay is a digital music streaming, sharing service and Music store that gives you access to thousands of songs, podcast, and other content from artists all over Cameroon

It aims at helping the local artist generate revenue through the music they make while giving their fans a one stop for music and other related information about the industry.

Currrently in its beta Launch as of the time I am writing this article, this web app packs a great punch, with a ton of features for convenient music listening and sharing and a wonderful and beautiful User Interface.

Signing Up

As with most services, you can register for Mardplay Web App by connecting your Facebook account for optimal social features, or create an account with your email address. Its required to create an email address before you Sign Up if you don’t already have an email address.

A pro account comes packed with a lot of nice features but bellow are the most striking ones that would leave you hyped up.

Mardplay comes with two themes, the Light Mode and the Dark mode. Some refer to this as Daylight and night Modes.

Mardplay comes with two languages righ out of the boxm French and English. You can switch between french and English convinieently without compromising your current listening state.

9) DOWNLOADS

If you have a Pro account, you can download your favorite songs, albums, playlists, and podcasts, so you can listen to them without an internet connection (this is only available via the app)

An internet connection is initially required for downloading. You must go online at least once every 30 days and maintain a Pro subscription to keep your music and podcasts downloaded.

10) LYRICS

It makes perfect sense for the lyrics of your favorite song to be readily available durng your music listening sessions. This feature helps you to See key lyrics of many of your favorite tracks as they’re sung .

11) ARTIST PROFILE

Artist profiles are where you’ll find all releases available by a particular artist, plus everything you need to know about them.

FREE or PREMIUM

With a growing catalogue of about 2000 Cameroon songs and more as of the time I am writing this article, the possibility to consume free or premium music is at your finger tips.

A free account is a bit limited but gives you the ability to stream all Free contenet while the Pro Account is said to have all the above highlighted features with and All Acces pass.

Premium brings a swath of additional features, like 320Kbps streaming, downloading music for offline listening
